How it started

01 — Where it began.

We’re Helen and Rose, two friends in our sixties with a shared love for beautiful fabrics. Our idea for a shop began over cups of tea, with patterns spread across the table. We’d talk about the things we loved — flowers, gardens, animals — and how lovely it would be to bring those little joys into everyday pieces.

02 — Something worth sharing.

We kept coming back to the same idea: useful things could be beautiful too. A colourful bag for a weekend away. A quilt that makes a room feel warmer. Something chosen for a friend because the pattern reminds you of her. Those were the pieces we wanted to fill our shop with.

03 — A little shop of our own.

Together, we created a shop filled with colour, texture and the thoughtful details we’d always loved. Bags, quilts and pieces for the home sat side by side. We wanted it to feel welcoming — somewhere you could take your time, look closely and find something that felt just right for you.

04 — The people who made it special.

Over time, we found others who loved the same little things. Gardeners drawn to flowers, animal lovers spotting a familiar face, and friends choosing gifts for each other. Hearing why someone chose a particular piece became one of our favourite parts of the shop. Often, there was a lovely story behind it.

05 — Time to move.

Now, we’re preparing to move the shop. As we pack up and get ready, we’re holding a Moving Sale across our collections to make room for the move. Thank you for being part of our little story — and for giving these pieces a place in yours.
